After all you have been through, I think it's time to install headers.... you would get away from the manifold problem, and improve performance and mileage.True they are a little pricey but no more problems after installation.Banks and Thorely makes good ones, as well some other manufacturers... hope this helps ...Good Luck
If you haven't already replaced the manifolds, there is a Tech Service Bulletin 98-15-6 from Ford on a fix to this problem. Ford should pay for at least part of it also. It involves replacing the manifolds not using gaskets and shorter studs and bolts. Worked for me over the past year in the mountains of Washington pulling a 4000 lb Blazer. |
