I recently had an inverter problem, it worked occasionally when pluged into the lighter socket. It would cut out when I used addtional loads, lights, fans, ect or sometimes just because? I ran a direct line from the battery to the inverter. I was still having problems. I replaced the line I ran with a 12 AWG line and it works great now. Consistant power for TV and Playstation, over 140 watts. Good luck!
Glad you got your problem solved. I'm just a little puzzled by why it took 12 gauge wire to carry around only 12 amps in order to correct the problem |
