Went to desert last weekend where it was 110 degrees. Ran generator for 3 hours on a Friday evening between 4 and 6pm. Came back the next day around 5pm to turn on generator, no go.
1 - Changed Fuel filter (NO gas in fuel line)
2 - Removed and checked 12v fuel pump (Pump was dead, replaced with a new one)
3 - Cleaned spark plugs of carbon and recapped to .025. (NOthing)
4 - Air Filter is clean
5 - Removed electic choke, enegine starts but shuts down like it runs out of gas.

ANY IDEAS????
Run power to the fuel pump with the outlet hose running in a can. Get flow? If no, check to see if there is a screen in the pickup tube in the gas tank, or a pin hole in the tubing.
If yes, run the power screw (on top of the carburator, not the side) all the way in and back out again to the original setting. If that does not help, and you see no black smoke as it shuts down it could be an obstruction in the needle valve and seat in the carb. If you get black smoke as it shuts down, it sounds like the float is saturated with fuel and needs to be replaced.
