I need the cable that runs from the shift lever on the dashboard to the shift lever on the transmission. Does anybody know where I might find such an item? I've hunted everywhere. Thanks.Hello, I had the same problem with an 81 Dodge Champion. I finally called a special cable maker (usually a clutch specialist) and had them make a cable for me. The original cable had a stranded center, the replacement cable had a solid center and worked much better. A company in Toledo, OH made the cable for me, cost $58 bucks. I drove there and gave them the old cable, they duplicated it (length, etc). Thats probably the only way you'll find a cable for it. |
