I have a polypropaline auxillary tank that has a hair-line crack that drips gas. I have tried EVERYTHING to patch it; nothing has worked. Has anyone patched one of these with success? Love this site. Thanks.
IF YOU HAVE A GOOD WELDING SHOP, THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO REPAIR IT. THE COLLAGE HERE HAS A WELDING SHOP THAT TRANES PEOPLE HOW TO WELD AND THIS IS ONE OF THE ITEMS THEY TEACH. MIGHT GIVE IT A TRY. HAROLD
thanks amillion everyone for all your advice. iwill let you know how it turns out.
I had the same problem, found a company that makes a repair kit for polypropelene, only one I ever found. Regular repair kits for plastic, etc. will not work. e-mail me and I'll send the name and address. |
