I have a 1970 Morphy Richards Astral model refridgerator. It works great on 120v. When I switch to propane I have a blue flame burning but it doesn't cool.
Plugged flue. remove the cover from the burner area than gain access to the top of the flue and run a small brush, like a bottle brush down thru it. Then vacuum up all the crud that comes out and falls around the burner.

If the flu is ok blow out the orfice for the burner (Spider webs) It should be a strong flame, you should be-able to hear it! If not after cleaning the above items, I would say your thremostat has failed and the flame is only running at idle.
