Our 1989 dometic 2601 fridge stopped working this spring. The heating elements seem to work, the gas flame is working, but it does not cool.I can hear the refridgerant,gurgle , but nothing. I have talked to several dealers and they tell me it is the cooling unit. They tell me it is around 700$ for a rebuilt unit, does anyone service these colling units? I am in central Ohio Thank You, Kent

I just went through that with mine. I ended up installing a new 2820 because my old cooling unit needed so much work. Go to http://rvmobile.com/welcome.htm. This guy is incredible. He is in the business to make money, of course. And he will certainly get any business I can send him. Check it out.
My refer was working just fine. now nothing. cannot believe that this 2001 unit new has already quit workin.I keep it plugged in most of the time so not sure why this has done that
