We have had our motor home in storage for a few years. When it went in everything was working great..but now the air conditioner doesn't run. The fan will run just fine, but when we switch it to A/C the compressor starts up for a few seconds then quits. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?
BY THE SOUND OF IT YOUR AC HAS A LOW PRESSURE SWITCH ANDWHEN THE FREON PRESSURE DROPS IT TURNS OF THE COMPRESSURE. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE IT LOOKED AT AND THE FREON PRESSURE CHECKED. YOU CAN REMOVE THE COVER AND SEE IF THERE IS ANY SIGNS OF OIL ON ANY OF THE TUBEING ESPECIALLY AT ANY JOINTS. IF THERE IS THIS IS THE SOURCE AND WILL HAVE TO BE REPAIRED. HAROLD |
