When driving my coach the cooling fan comes on every 5 minutes. Is this normal. I just bought this coach. I would appreciate any info. Also my check engine light stays on. I have 25000 miles on this coach.

The fan clutch should come on about 200 deg so sowhere it is sensing estreme heat???.. You can try disconnecting neg lead on battery for about 5min that should clear check engine codes, but if it comes back one of the sensors is wrong. Hows gas mileage, should be over 8mpg. I woiuld have it checked and if its emission it has to be under warranty from Ford

No is it the electric fan?? it will be on with A/C and if you have the check engine light on, there is a problem with a sensor. A good mech can use a code sensor to check what the malfunction is on the check engine. Need engine chevy/ford is check engine on all the time.. Does engine run rough???...Maybe warranty,if emission it has to be good for 5yr 50,000 mi

I am buying a 1998 santara that has cummins diesel. The lcd odometer is registering approx 2.5 times more than trip odometer. Trip odometer is not lcd. Do you have a possible explanation for this. this unit has freightliner chassis but freightliner dealer says it must go to cummins dealer. Thanks for your help John

Bob, it has a ford 460 in it. It has the pully fan and the engine light stays all the time.
