I run a 33ft win chieftan,457 chevy all stock. I was only getting 7 - 7.5 mpg. I knew it needed a slight alignment so finally had it done at a heavy duty shop. The home now gets 9.7 10.2 running 70mph towing a car. So alignments pay in more ways then one.
It had a little wander, and noticed drivers side tire was wearing on inside tread. Also had after market steering damper...they said OEM is best. The company who did work all they work on is big trucks and trailers. Now you can let go of the wheel and it will track down the road. Only adj I could detect was 1/4in on one tie rod end.
That must have been some wheel alignment to raise your milage by almost 3 mpg or 40%!
WAS it pointing in same direction as rest of coach?
