Duo-Therm Thermostat Paul K 10-17-05
I have a Duo-Therm by Dometic model 3106463.007 for 2 roof a/c units and my furnace. I cannot get the model to switch between zones. It will not switch to zone 1 were my furnce control is and is not working at all. They do not make this thermostat anymore and have to convert over to a 5 switch and electonic boards in the a/c not knowing if this is the problem. Does anyone know were I could get a 4 switch thermostat or have any feedback has to this problem.

Does anyone out there have a used two zone thermostat for a 1998 Monaco Dynasty... One zone works, one doesn't.. or can anyone suggest where to find a cheaper conversion kit than what the company offers at $340 per unit to upgrade from four to five pannel switch? any help would be appreciated.

I have a travel trailer with a domestic duo therm thermostat. The A/C unit will only kick on if I set it to Auto and drop the temp to 40 degrees. It compresses and runs (not very cold).
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Lou 8-22-08
Thermostat problem.
It controlas bpth Air conditionner and furnace.
Duo-Therm thermostat and air-conditionner. Atwood hydro flame 8500-IV seies furnace.

For both furnace and Air conditionner, the thermostat cannot be controled.

Above 50 degrees farenheit the furnace starts. Below 50, it stops.

Below 50 degrees the Air conditionner starts above 50 it stops.

When the AC current is not on, the furnace burns the 15 ampfuse.

The thermostat is part number : 3107612.008

We also see the words ANALOG CONTROL KIT with the 3 numbers 3107541.009
3107541.017 and 3107546.008 What they stand for, we do not know.

Our fifth wheel is a Citation classic 2000. It was probably built in 1999.

Can we still purchase this thermostat?

Thank You,

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Steve Brown 5-16-08
I had the non-funtioning button problem with my 4-button duotherm thermostat last year, and fixed it. I did so after reading the article in the July 2007 FMCA magazine (pg 32).

I sent in a response published in the March 2008 issue. There I said "I would only comment that the relevant part illustrated in the article is very small, about 3/16-inch by 1/8-inch, so one needs to be careful not to displace any of these small parts. Each of the four buttons contains two of them, plus a small spring. I was aided by having a craftsman's head-mounted magnifier, a small hemostat, and jeweler's pliers. It took about 1 1/2 hours of careful effort."

I subsequently needed to tweak the contacts slightly, and since then, some 4 months ago, it's worked perfectly.

My thermostat for AC & furnace is extratech 50-001406-A.there are 6 internal wires red-+7.5; yellow - cool; white-furnace; blue-hi fan; brown - fann and green - ground.
I have the same problem that opthers have mentioned in that the fan shuts off but the compressor continues to run even if switched to off position. If i move the wite or loosen the screw on the yellow cool wire it stops. Is the thermostat bad or just as wire problem??

We have a 2005 Gulfstream SunVoyager motor home with 2 a/c's and 2 thermostat's. My husband thinks the kitchen thermostat isn't working properly. He'd like to replace it. It's a duo-therm thermostat. Where is the best place to buy the replacement and what would it cost?
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Bob 5-11-09
I also have a duo-therm stat and I recently had the problem of it not wanting to shut off no matter what. I had to shut it down via the circuit breaker. I removed the cover of the stat and blew out all the dust and then tapped the control box with my finger lightly and then turned the power back on and it worked fine. I don't think this will solve the problem but I hope it works till I can purchase a new one and install it.

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Morris 12-11-08
I have a 2001 Monaco Dynasty motorhome with 2 Duo-Therm roof a/c and an Aqu Hot furnace controlled by Comfort Control thermostats. Is there any anticapation controls to tighten up the on-off temp ranges so there is not such a large temp swing between the 'on' and 'off' temps???

Thank you for any help.
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Brian Watkins 5-2-08
I have a Duo-Therm comfort control center #3109228.001 (5 buttons) system. When I activate the furnace in one of the zones the fans will come on for a while & then start to cycle on & off sporadically. It almost seems like they are being regulated by a thermal switch or some such device & that they are being directed to stop before they reach the temp called for on the control center. All other functions on the control center (AC,heat pump, etc) work OK.

Any ideas on what might be causing this.

HELP??? I have a duo therm model# 57915.621 It has two zones but only zone one will display on the thermostat (in any mode). The mode button doesn't help. Thermostat will read fan only, but a/c will sometimes come on also. Any help before it gets so hot, would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Ed Zintgraff 12-8-06
When it is very hot outside, my a/c unit keeps blowing the 20 amp breaker. I replaced breaker; still does it. Once RV cools and A/c reaches temp, it short cycles. Meaning a/c will shut off and then try to start within a minute, causing breaker to trip again. I called duotherm and they said a/c must stay off for at least 3 mins. for freon to resettle. However, they admit their thermostat is not time delayed. So I keep blowing the fuse ALL DAY LONG! What can I do to get this dumb thing to work. Should I replace with a Coleman?
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat wannabe 10-18-05
Look into "Comfort Control" thermostats, they certainly have models that support multiple zones, and a furnace.

I have a 2004 Mandalay Motor Home
I have an Atwood Furnace and Duo Therm

The fan comes on and then you can hear the furnace ignite. This can go on well
for a period of time.

Then the fan might come back on but the furnace does not ignite and the fan shuts off.

I then have to turn the thermostat off and re set it and then the fan will come on and ignite the furnace.

Can you tell me why it works for awhile and then stops and has to be restarted.

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Carolyn 2-1-10
John, I just bought one from a guy on eBay who rebuilds them. The price was $85 plus $10 shipping. Seller is wylo761 and appears to have a good rating. Don't know if he has others in stock, but it's an exchange price, so I'll be sending mine to rebuild and it's only problem is a loose off/on switch. Hope this helps.

I have a 1983 Layton 30' with a Duo-Therm furnace #65930-064 12V DC heat only...Old thermostat went bad...replaced it with a new one...Has been running fine until now...I turn thermostat to desired temp, blower kicks on, flame ignites, heats up fine...EXCEPT...DOES NOT SHUT DOWN!! Goes beyond set temp and I have to manually turn it back to almost off (52 degrees) before it will shut the burner down (blower keeps on functioning like normal). Also, inside the thermostat there is a cycling dial (2 thru 15) I have had it set at 6 (My old one was set a 6). I set that back to 3, but it didn't have any effect. Anyone have a clue? Thanks...Bob Y
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Chris 2-6-12
I think my thermostat is broken. My The thermostat is part number : 3107612.008

The Duo-Therm operating instruction manual that came with the fifth wheel refers to ANALOG CONTROL KIT. Part no. 3107541 and 3107546.

Our fifth wheel is a Tahoe Fifth Wheel built in 1998.

Can we still purchase this thermostat?

I have a Duo Therm thermostat #3106463.007 with a date 97501 on a 98 endeavor motor home. When I turn it on nothing will light up on the display and the A/C s or heater will work. I have 12V in both A/Cs the 3 amp fuses are good and the fuse to the heater is good. My guess is the thermostat is bad. Does anyone have any ideas.
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Tamara Exley 8-1-16
We have the Duo-Therm Comfort thermostat in our camper. Last season we could not get it to stop at the furnace setting. Had read about everyone's problem with this thermostat and decided to wait to fix it later on. This year when getting the camper ready for vacation we had some lights not working in the kitchen. My husband looked at the fuses and found one that was blown. While checking the rest of the fuses he pulled one that shut off the air conditioning. We did not think much about it just put the fuse back in and it came back on. When my husband replaced the blown fuse the lights in the kitchen still did not work. (Was a different problem that he got fixed.) After thinking about it for a while he wondered if the thermostat would go to furnace since he replaced the blown fuse. We really did not think it would, since everything we read said it was a bad thermostat. We tried it and sure enough it went to furnace. Turned on the propane and we have heat. Thank heavens it works. It is an expensive endeavor to replace the thermostat and change the ac boards to work with the new thermostat. So lesson learned. CHECK FUSES FIRST.

I have 2 roof top heat pump units controlled by a 3109228.001 Duo-Therm thermostat. Units cool fine and put out 55 degree air at the supply air grill on the units, but the units never cycle off even when set on 78 degrees. When I raise the thermostat temperature to give the compressors a rest after 2 hours, they will not kick out until the thermostat is raised to 85 to 90 degrees. At night the compressors cycle on and off but the room gets hot before the compressor kicks in again. do I need a new thermostat?

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat MikeWhoRu 6-5-10
I have a Duo-Therm 3 button, pretty much standard one. It too has gone south on me. I took it apart and found one of the diodes are loose and needs to be re-soldered. I dont have a good enough gun for that so I took a jumper wire and connected it to the wire on the diode and grounded it and it works temporarily. This is a quick and temporary fix. These circuit boards are obviously the problem. What Im looking for is a 3 button digital remote control thermostat as a replacement but I dont want to spend a hundred bucks on one. Anyone know where I can get a cheap compatible digi therm for my Duo?

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Bill 5-10-10
Our Duo-Therm thermostat works fine, except when power to the trailer is off for a period of time, the thermostat readout shows AUX. HEAT, and the thermostat won't function until I can get AUX. HEAT off the readout. As far as I know we don't have AUX. HEAT, only a propane furnace. We were told to hold the FAN and MODE button down together, turn the therm. off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Some times this clears the AUX. HEAT, sometimes it doesn't. Anyone having this same problem? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you, Bill

I have two roof top AC/heat pumps - model 630035.321 controlled by 1 each 3109226.005 Electric Kits, these being controlled by one 5 button 3109228.01 Comfort Control Center. Problem = No fans, Heat Pumps or AC's; furnace runs OK. The coach took a power surge via a lighting strike. Can switch and program everything.

Any help please. Everything else in the coach is OK.

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat rick stammen 3-16-08
I have a model # 620315 penguin roof top air conditioner & 630215 roof top heat pump with air distribution box. It also has a 3109228.001 control centre. The problem is the control centre when turned on comes up with a EEE code. if the unit is off and you simultaneously press and hold mode and zone FF appears but when you release them EEE comes up and nothing works.
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Wylo 3-23-08
The EEE means there is a fault in the communication cable between the thermostat and the control board. I would inspect the telephone connectors at the first air conditioner. If the problem was between the first and second air conditioners, the first air should show on the display so I think it would be a connector at the first.
good luck wylo

My duotherm thermostat is also about 25 degrees off. That doesnt concern me so much, but eventually it started turning the AC unit on and off every second multiple times in a row. I dont want it breaking my compressor. I ordered a new unit. I ordered a new one for $40 (with shipping) at www.americanrvcompany.com
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat jim 1-27-12
Hi, we have a 02 monaco and neither of the thermostats on the air cond. seem to control the temp. we have to keep them up in the 85 degree or they start even when it is only 65 outside. Could both thermostats have gone bad at the same time? thanks,

Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Dwight 8-18-11
My Duo-therm Comfort Control 5 button will not turn on after I turned off the circuit breaker fot the rig while doing some work on one of the two a/c s. There is electricity at the a/c, but the Comfort Control will not turn on. I cannot find any blown fuses. Would there likely be any other in-line fuse? What should I be looking for?
Re: Duo-Therm Thermostat Dwight 8-18-11
I turned off my rigs circuit breaker to work on a roof top a/c and when I turned the circuit breaker back on I was unable to get the five button Duo Therm Comfort Control unit to turn on. There is electricity to the a/c, but the controller wont turn on. I could not find any blown fuses. Where should I look next? How do I get inside the comfort control unit?
