My 1999 Windstar's heater is broken. When I turn it on there is a knocking sound coming from behind the radio. Dealer says it is the heater actuator and that it will cost $200-225 to fix. He says you have to take the radio panel off to get to it. Is this something that I can get the part and fix or is it best left to the dealer? How much is the part itself?
