|2310 Dometic fridge/freezer problem:||debra||11-6-15|
|The freezer frosts up quickly that I believe is due to air leakage from the cracked gasket on the door. This seems like a simple enough task and I got the door off and old gasket out without breaking anything. However, I can't seem to get it to sit even so that it doesn't leak air again|
. How is the gasket supposed to be applied so that it can be even?
The replacement gasket has a single layer of plastic that is curled over and when I try to apply the gasket it sits higher and lower in spots.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Debra

|THE TOP FOUR ANSWERS FROM THE SHOP:|
1st Build a box so the gasket will sit on the top. Put weight on the door so the gasket is pressed flat, not whole lot the door is not strong. Come back in a week.
2nd Warm the door gasket with hair dryer and clamp in place with wood and "C" clamps. Carefull again as the door is not strong.
3rd Start over with new material
4th Give up and start with a new fridge
