|Has this done this since you bought the unit or did it start recently? It is a common cheap work around to by-pass the board and wire in the element direct. Has this been done to yours?|
The board either works or does not, Dometic has a board checker but no one I ever had contact with owns one.
WHat I know for sure. Your element does not shut off.
The resistance reading on the thermistor is critical but there is a work around: Take a largish cup or glass, fill it with ice, add a bunch of salt, mix thouroughly, the salt forces the tempurature down in the glass. Drop the thermister in the glass, give it a couple minutes and check to see if the fridge element shut off.
Either way, thermistor, by-passed, or bad board.
