|Air Brakes||Larry Henderson||10-19-15|
|I have a 1995 Alegro Bus that has been in storage for a year. I have started it on a monthly. When I tried to drive it home last week it would not go into gear. It is a diesel pusher with a comings 5.9 diesel with Alison 6 speed transmission. When I push in the parking brake and try to select a gear, it flashes and beeps at me. I assume that the parking brake is an air brake and that the system does not release the air as it appears to stay in park. Does anyone have an idea to release the air?|

|The 4 following things have to happen and then I will guess.|
1st 100 psi air pressure, there is guage on the dash
2nd The suspension has to fill and lift the unit
3rd The air brake button must stay in and the air pressure must stay over 100 psi, You need to put your foot on the brake to hold the unit in place.
4th The transmision has to engage.
If you get to step 4 before the system starts beeping then you have a transmision problem, check oil, check the display with the gear #s it could show an error code.
I am going to bet you have a air pressure problem and the safety interlock system wont let you have a gear.
