Hydroflame furnace making a whine Jonathan Harrison 9-22-10
My furnace is making a high whine. I think that it has something to do with the blower. When the heat shuts off, the gas clicks off then the blower ramps down till it is off. The whine is there till the blower slows down. Is this a worn out gasket problem?
Re: hydroflame furnace making a whine BUBBA THE BUS TECH 9-22-10
Blower noise only comes three ways
1 st and most common, the bushing in the motor are or have failed
2 nd the blower wheel is rubbing on the housing
3 rd there is something in the blower rubbing on the wheel
No matter how you look at it the motor has to come out.
Good Luck
