We turn our furnace on and everything seems to work, then flame goes out but fan does not.......keeps blowing cold.....turn thermostat off and back on again.....works for a while then flame goes off but fan does not......keeps blowing cold.....replaced limit switch on fire box but problem persists.....help please.....why does it work the 1st time and then not come up to temperature.....
Yep. Me too.. My NT 40 sometimes works for a while then not... changed the spark ignitor/thermo coupler thinking that was the problem but no such luck... anyone have any ideas?
Just wondering what the cure for that nt 40 furnace was that bill gwynn had as i have the same problem ????? was it the board ??? as ive also changed my limit switch but to no avail what is the cure ? please let me know

Yea me too ours does the same thing,replace high limit switch twice. works for awhile then not. whats the problem? would like to know if bill got his fixed.
