I just bought a 1997 fleetwooe pace arrow. When I test drove it the vehicle would move when I put it in park. They supposely replaced a cellunoid which seem to fix the promblem. I have driven it approxiately 200 miles when the auto park light came on and now the brake does not set when in park again.
If the light is on---there are switches that control that--one is the Green switch(the one that always leaks) that tells you the pump Dextron is low and the pump (can't) creat the 1600 psi to pull the shoes off--2nd switch (grey) turns the light on to tell you the brake is being applied.-which is probably what has happened---The shoes are adjustable-BUT be sure the Dextron is full first-Auto=Park tank-it holds abot a QT.

Thanks Rich
But the problem is not that the brakes are locking up, instead they do not engage. I can hear the pump running but the rv still rolls. Also when I apply the manual emergency brake it goes all the way to the floor.
You were driving it and the park brake light came on, Probably the low pressure warning as rich says. It applied slowly at 75 mph and burnt out. So to diagnose is there oil in the resevior? No? Figure out where the oil went, Probably as rich says the 1600 psi warning switch that is most common. Then tear the auto park brake drum apart and fix the brake and don't forget to fix the leak. Good Luck
Thanks,
That is exactly how it happened. I checked under the rv at the resevor and there is something leaking in that area, I could not tell what. Are the brake shoes for the auto park different than the regular brakes because I still have brakes when I push down the pedal just not when I put it in park or set the emergency brake.
