Re: Fresh water tank by Keith
Post New Message Hi Kelley, Drain the fresh water tank (FWT) and water heater (WH). Mix 1/4 cup CLOROX Bleach per 15 gallons of FWT capacity in a gallon container with fresh water. Pour it into the tank, fill the FWT. Drive the unit around to mix if you wish, should mix from filling. Pump water thru each cold water faucet 'til you smell the bleach. Pump about 6 gallons of water thru hot water faucets to get the mixture into the WH. Refill FWT. Let sit a few hours. Drain the FWT and WH. To get rid of the bleach odor... mix 1/2 cup of baking soda in a gallon of water and repeat the above only let sit a few days if possible. Drain, fill with fresh water. P.S. Don't use cheap bleach as all brands don't disinfect. Good luck
