I am in the process of replacing the roof on my travel trailer. The only real question I have are the steps to remove the roof AC unit. Can anyone give me some direction on this?
Hi Troy, Most AC's are similar but there may be more or less, but here's the basics. Turn off 120V circuit breaker to AC. Remove the inside control/vent cover, remove the metal cover and disconnect the 120V wiring inside and pull out of box, mark and remove any other wiring that comes from the ceiling to the AC, Remove four bolts from the base pan (inside RV, may have a spring under head of bolt), remove the base pan, lift off the AC!
