Hi, Our Dometic RM2652 fride is giving us problems!! It works fine on LPG, but we have now tried to run on electric supply. Noticed 5amp fuse was blown so chsnged that, all looked fine. Main switch light comes on fine on the front display panel but it is not cooling either the fridge or freezer. Any guidance to resolve??
Sounds like the element is bad. Two wires that run into the galvinised tin chimny on the right side at the back. Have or do a Ohm check on the two wires. 0 ohms (short) or no circuit at alll means its bad. It can also be shorted to the cooling unit. This also means it is bad. Finally I think it is suposed to have an OHM reading of 40 ohms. If this tests good you have a control problem. Dirty conections, no 110 volt power to fridge, no 12 volt power, bad control board. Or finally the fuses
Thanks for your reply. We will test with an ohm meter and see what we get. As the interior light is working, does this not mean that the 12V must be OK? If we find it's the element, is it easily replaced and what cost's might this involve? Thanks for your help once again
Both compartments freeze too well. Moved sensor to be more submerged in fins to no avail. How do I test the sensor/thermostat/thermocouple to see if working correctly? Where do I go for parts?
It is the thermistor that I have moved around. Right now I have it in the middle of the fins and as of now it is at 38 degrees. I turned it on yesterday. It may take a few days for it to go into it's subfreezing mode.
