I just bought a used 31 Prowler. I have an external cable hook-up for cable or satelite going into the RV. I hooked up the cable and had a very weak picture. I have two outlets in the RV and neither one had a good signal. I hook up directly to the TV and get a good picture. I talked with a few cable men and there was one that hooked up my cable and saw the picture and they all say it looked like it was the splitter. With all of the wiring between the floor and the bottom of the trailer I will need special equipment to find the exact location of the splitter and if I do find it I will have to drill a hole through the bottom of the trailer UP into the void under the floor to change it. I will then need to use the plug I cut out with the drill and some 5200(marine below waterline sealant) to seal the hole back up using the plug that came out as filler. Or I could just run new CATV wire stapled along the bottom and up through the slide to the TV locations. |
