Before today at least I could use my dometic refrigerator on AC but now nothing. Here is what I have. My Refridgeator would work on ac but not gas. After trying everything the manual said to do I started doing some checking on the igniters voltage. I had 12 volts at the igniter and while undoing the wires accidently touched the + wire on the igniter with the - wire. Blew the 3 amp fuse but the 5 amp is ok. I replaced the 3 amp but now do not have any voltage at the igniter. I do have 120 volts at terminal 5 % 6 but none at terminal 7 & 8. Not sure where to go from here but any help would really be appriciated.
Thanks,
Dale
With 12 volts available at the 3 amp fuse and 120 volts available at the 5 amp fuse, and the fridge not cold (ie thermostat calls for cooling) and AC or AUTO mode selected, there should be 120 volts on 7 or 8 activating the heating element. If no 120 volts to the heating element terminal you have a defective board.
with GAS selected or no 120 volts available there should be 12 v at the plus term of the igniter and the igniter shuld spark if there is no flame or the electrode is not grounded by carbon, etc. No 12 v at igniter, bad board, if 12 v and No spark, bad igniter. I have rebuilt boards for $85. most models. let me know if I can help. William
