My refrigerator keeps a temperature between 40 to 45 or higher and that’s only with a gallon of milk and a few things in the door. I have that foolish little temperature controller pushed up all the way. And it’s completely leveled.
When I empty the unit it will get as cold as 30 or less and not be as level as it is when we are camping.
This is a 2008 Dometic refrigerator. Can you tell me what the problem may be with the temperature?
I feel that foolish little temperature controller is a joke. But that can’t be the problem.
Altho 40 may be OK spec, the fridge should have the ability to get colder. There is a part called a Temp Adjuster. it is a 23000 ohm resistor in parallel with the thermistor (7000 ohm at 40 degrees) It will drop the temp 3 or 4 degrees at the specific setting. I am traveling and do not have the part number but the techs at Dometic can give it to you and sell you one. If they wont, email me and I will send you one.
