Atwood h20 heater G6A-6 David 6-22-09  
Just purchased used RV, was told the H2O heater didn't work.. to test I tried to light the pilot but it didn't ignite. In the "on" position the burner lit and would burn for maybe 1 minute - regardless of where the thermostat was set.. any ideas?

Valve toast probably, or if you are pre-heating thermo-couple it may mean the pilot orifice or tube is pluged. Good Luck
