Hi Frank, Yes it is adjustable. The brackets that are mounted to the roofline are slotted to move fore and aft. Just adjust as needed. Unless the awning itself is not secured to the awning rail, then the awning fabric can slide in the rail and cause your problem. If it has slipped, adjust it by rolling it out and sliding it to where it's edges are even distance to the center of the arms at the roofline, secure with two 1/2in #8 sheetmetal screws thru the rail into the awning spline.
