I just bought a cadallac seville from a big dealership. They killed the battery cleaning the car, then had the car for 4 days to "reset" the service light. The dealership drove my car for 350 miles, and said this was to reset the light.
350 miles isn't to reset the light, it is to set the registers in the EFI computer. If the registers don't get set, the car will fail emissions I&M.
This shows a basic ignorance of OBD2, since the registers can be reset in less than 30 miles if the tech follows the procedure correctly. I suggest not taking your car back to them.
