If your unit is wired correctly then you make noise and waste fuel. It should not damage anything. Most systems automaticly change over to the genset after it has been running 20 seconds or so, but the system is suposed to be set up so you can start the genset, wait for it to change over and then unplug. My 1973 winnabego is new to me and I don't understand the generator, battery, and outside electric line comming.
I now have it hooked to an outside line the heater doesn't seem to work now and neither do the inside lights.
I've no clue so if someone cound help I would appreciate it.
