Hey i just got a 1989 ford ranger extended cab and there is no spark and everything seems to be hooked up properly is there anyway someone could help me figure out this problem
Hey, I have had several BroncoII with the same engine. A common problem with the 2.9 and many other fords is the ignition module, which is mounted on the backside of the distributor. It requires a special allen socket to remove, but most car part stores have them. Do an online search, Autozone might even have troubleshooting instructions before you remove it from the distributor.
