Subruban Hot water Heater Kent 5-21-09
Hi there. I have a Suburban 6 gallon electric/gas auto ignition water heater. It seems to be heating the water just fine because the tank feels warm and when I open the drain, the water feels warm. Problem I am having is that I can't get any hot water to any of the taps in the trailer. I just bought this unit and I am thinking that some type of valve may not be open since the guy I bought it off of winterized it. I did see him open one valve which allowed the hot water tank to fill, but is there another valve somewhere that leads to my taps in the trailer that may be closed. I'm confused but i think the problem must be simple since the heater itself fires up no problem when I turn it on. Please help! thanks

Hi Kent, Sounds like the water heater by pass hasn't been switched back to normal after the winter, and the water is mixing. On the back of the tanks water lines, if there are 3 valves, open the two on the in (lower) and outlet (upper) and close the center valve. Good luck!
