We have a 1991 Gulfstream Class C. We have had it for about 6 years now and ever ince we have owned it the fuse panel cover which is at the base of the dining table seat in the aisle gets pretty hot to the touch when we are plugged in. Sometimes, it is too hot to hold you hand on itfor more than a second or two. We have asked a few RV shops while it was in for other reasons and they said that that is normal? We have no issues with the electrical service. Should we worry about this???
Hello Heather;
I would worry some---
first off---unplug the rig-so NOT to get shocked---tighten all connections---as well as the batteries and the ground wire to the frame--bad connections create heat also the negative on any circuit--
Hopefully your NOT overloaded--to many 12 volt items on at the same time.
the newer LED lights and Fluorescent might lower the output current from your converter/charger too.also, as batteries get older they will require more current to recharge them also.
rich in Va.
and that's what is causing the excessive heat.
