I have no heat from my rv furnace,the blower comes on,but the furnace doen't fire,i know it could possibly be the ignition system "igniter" but how can i test it to be sure that is what it is?or could there be another problem ? if you could help that would be great thanks chris
Hi Chris, It depends on the make and model of the furnace as to how easy it is to check the circuit board. Most Atwood's and some Suburban's are accessible from the outside thru the access door. Remove the board and take it to an RV repair shop who has a testing unit. This is just the easiest item to start with and then go from there. Most Suburban's, and some Atwood's you have to remove the entire funace to get to the board. As long as you have the furnace out you might as well take the whole thing to the shop and let them check it out, because if it isn't the board you have to set them up to run on a bench to check them out anyway. If easy to access the board first pull the white plug to the board and make sure it is free of dust and dirt for a good connection and try it out. Good luck!
