How to locate my sail switch Kent 5-12-09
Hi, My problem was that my furnace was blowing cold air - no ignition. I took my circut board in for my atwood hydro-flame and the rv dealer checked it and said it was fine. He highy reccomended my sail switch be checked and cleaned. How can I find this switch? Is it hard to get at? Could it also be my limit switch? Thanks

Hi Kent, Since you haven't mentioned the model/series of the furnace in either post.... I'll hope/guess it's an 8500 series.... the sail switch is behind and mounted to the left rounded cover as you're looking at the furnace. There's four screws holding it on and it helps to remove the timer relay that is attached. Just remove one screw and loosen the other and slide it out from under the screw if you don't want to remove the 4 wires to it. Pretty easy. The limit switch is behind the squirrel cage you see under the cover. You have to remove the motor to get to it. Good luck!
