I have an Atwood G6A-8E water heater. The Pressure Relief valve SPURTS water when the water is heated.
I'm told there's a procedure to eliminate this problem and it has something to do with air pockets???
Hi Irene, Turn off pressure/pump, drain the hot water tank with the faucets open, Close the faucets and turn the water pump on with enough water in the freshwater tank to fill the water heater tank, Fill the WH tank until the pump shuts off, Light the heater, when the heat cycles off (water to temp) slowly open each hot water faucet until the water flows smoothly. Air is now returned to the top of the hot water tank. It is normal for a relief valve to seep some when the water is hot. Good luck!
