Hi, i developed a leak at the bottom of the tank where the plastic fitting with cut off valve is.looks like sealer is leaking is that common.thanks for any help...bob
Hi Bob, It's not uncommon. Turn off LP/electric, drain the water heater, remove the fitting and check it for cracks or cross threading, clean the threads, put pipe joint compound or teflon tape if you prefer on the fitting threads, reinstall, refill and check for leaks. Good luck!
