No power to heating element walt 4-30-09
I have a atwood GC10A-2 water heater and I can't keep power to the 110 volt heating element. I found a little button on the thermostate poped out, it worked after I pushed it back in, but when the water gets hot it pops out agine, can anyone help find out what is going on.

That is a high limit switch, think of it as an emergency shut down when the regular control fails. So go buy a thermostat and high limit kit and install it. The kit is cheap enough that even I don't cry when I buy one. You need the model and serial off the water heater. Good Luck
