It seems that there are alot of postings similar to this so I apoligise if I am repeating but I can't find what I need.
I recently purchased a 14' pull behind with a Hydro Flame Furnace. I am looking for a link to instructions on proper ways to clean and refurbish this unit. The pilot light/ control knob is sticky/ hard to turn but with some muscle the unit will work, the pilot stayes lit, and the furnace burns. The problem is that I tested it when it was roughly 36 degrees outside and a full blast it kept the camper at about 50 degrees. Please help, the areas we will be camping get colder than 36 at night in the summer.
PB blaster to the face of the control(?) box and now the knobs turn like new.
used the air compressor to blow air through the lines and clean the inside of the burner unit and exahst. Sprayed carborator cleaner in the bruner trying to hit the jet as much as possible.
It seems to be functioning much better. Althought the temp was higher last night here at lower elevations I felt there was a dramatic improvement.
I am still alittle worried that that 9,000 btu's may not be enough when its reallly cold outside. Thinking of picking up a small coleman catalitic heater to suppliment on cold nights.
