Atwood 7916-II furnace will not stay lit Eric L 4-20-09
Getting ready for camping season and tried to start up the furnace. Model Atwood 7916-II. After turning on the Tstat, blower comes on just fine, the problem is that the burner only fires up for only 3-5 seconds then shuts down (blower continues to run during this process). I let it the unit go thru this ritual many times w/ the same result. Have tested & checked out the limit & sail switches; good gas pressure; no blockages; no loose wires;, fans work great. Wondering what may be wrong (electrical?) Any ideads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi Eric, Could be the circuit board isn't reading the flame, or the sensor probe isn't telling the board the flame is lit. I'd first take the board to an RV shop and have it tested. If it's ok I'd suspect the flame sensor, beings you've said everything else checks ok and no blockage. Good luck!
