Hello
I have a 2005 Atwood GC10A-4E 10 gallon hot water heater. I recently removed the drain plugs and flushed it out to clean it. There was a good amount of gunk built up in the plug, but now it's clean. When I closed it all up again and turned on the water, the hot water would not flow from the tank. The tank is hot and there is water in it when I check the pressure release valve. There is no hot water pressure at all. The hot water can be felt for about 2 seconds then it trickles to nothing. Cold water runs fine, but it has been a few days of not hot showers and me tampering with it, and I could really use some advice!
Hi Jordan, When you flushed the tank you broke sediment loose. First check the aereator. If it's ok, you need to remove your faucets and there's probably sediment in the screen like/screens on the hot water inlet. Clean them out and run hot water thru the water lines before you hook them back up. You might have to do this a couple of times. Good luck!
