I have a atwood 8535-IV-DCLP furnace in my 2002 dutchmen classic, and when i turn it on almost all the time the fan starts then it ignites and goes back out, it repeats three times then it shuts off, on the circuit board the fault code says ignition lockout fault. PLEASE HELP!!
Hi Neil, Could be air in the LP lines if you just changed bottles or had a line disconnected for some reason. It could also be that the board isn't reading the flame. Remove the board and take it to an RV shop and have it tested. Shouldn't cost you anything or very little, depending on how greedy they are. The flame sensor is in the igniter, this could also be the culprit. I'd start with the board check out, after purging the LP lines by lighting the stove for a couple of minutes. Good luck!
I have the same furnace in a National Dolphin 2002. My furnace is doing the same thing. As it ignites, I listen and hear the clicking of the ignitor and when the clicking stops, the flame goes out. Like Neil, this happens three times. I am wondering if it has something to do with the electrode? I have checked the board and for any air in the gas line.
I have a Atwood Model 8535 IVDCLP, I have never had a problem. The unit will not light but our kitchen stove works and i have LP, I can hear the thermostat click and thats all that happens. i took the cover off the furnace and noticed a red LED blinking?? where should I start checking. thanks Larry
