When holding in the start button, the safety shut down features are bypassed such as low oil pressure, high temp, low coolant. One of these could be dfective or it could be the control board. You will need a tech to diagnose. Good luck.
I have an onan generator Onan 7.5 kva, this not stay running when i push the botton starter, only running 1 minute each one time, i dont have idea about with this generator, thanks for your help, i waiting for your great help
