Hi Kerry, Considering you do have a flame and your 120V heating element is working, first thought is a bad cooling unit. Check for a greenish yellow powder somewhere on the cooling unit, usually around the burner area. If you see any the cooling unit is leaking and must be replaced, it's also possible it's lost it's charge or has a blockage. First and easiest, try direct wiring the 120V (working) heating element and see if it cools after 24 hrs. If not the cooling unit is shot. You can try "tumbling" by removing the fridge and turning it upside down a few times if there's blockage. May or may not work. If you're not familiar with these procedures, best to let a tech look at it. Good luck!

How would i double check to see if 120v heating element is working
i know i have a flame with propane
thanks

Is the 12 volt house disconnect turned "On" or "off". Fridge needs 12 volt power for operation in addition to 120 volts.

Hi Kerry, the heating element is in the flue tube above the burner. It's round and sticking out the side with 2 wires attached. Put your fridge on electric and briefly touch the element, if it's hot it's working. If you have a healthy blue flame it should be able to make the fridge cool, but direct wiring the element by passes all the controls so if it doesn't cool then, the cooling unit is bad. Good luck!
