Brand new 2009 Fleetwood Pioneer Spirit. Fridge seems to work on gas okay. When we turned off the gas, and the unit is plugged in, it won't come on. Lights work, fuses are fine, doors closed, but fridge isn't cold. Still under warranty, but what could cause this?
Thanks for the fast reply. Just so you know what I have done:
1. Electricity gets to trailer.
2. Microwave works fine.
3. With gas on, fridge cools.
4. No breakers are tripped.
5. No fuses are bad.
6. Trailer is level.
7. All lights work and the battery shows a full charge.
So, this would point to the 120V heating element being bad?
Megan
Hi Megan, Have you have checked the fuse on the circuit board, and that you have 120V to the receptacle the fridge is plugged in to? If so, the heating element is on the flue approx a foot above the burner. It sticks out with two wires to it. If you're set for electric touch it briefly and see if it's hot. If not it's burned out or the fuses on the circuit board are bad. It's the best troubleshooting I can do over the computer. LOL It's easier being there. If you're uncomfortable checking this stuff get a Tech. At least it's working on LP so you don't have food spoilage. Good luck!
