My husband took the inverter apart and found a blown fuse. We replaced it but that just blew also. Now my husband says we need anew inverter. Lots of $$. Trying to decide if we want to get a new one or a refurbished on. Anybody have this trouble???/
The inverter is only changing 115 volt shore power to 12 volt DC to operate 12 volt lights, etc. Since the older inverters produce "dirty" 12 volt DC, sensative 12 volt equipment ( fridges, heaters, etc with logic boards are operated only off the battery(ies), you could consider just installing a battery charger with "float" technology and eliminating the inverter. If wired correctly, the batteries will charge when unit is driven and the charger will charge it/them when plugged into ahore power.
