Most of the "older" motorhomes were set up so that only one A/C would run on the plug at a time. Some had an automatic switch that alternated them, others only were hooked to the generator power for one or the other. Usually the rear one was hooked only to the generator, but that could have been easily changed. Best would be to find a wiring schematic for your motorhome and see how it was originally wired. Also, some had a priority switch that favored the front A/C. The different manufacturers experimented with many combinations since the 30 amp shore power couldn't handle two A/C's plus the rest of power demand. |
