My alternator is charging at about 9 on the gauge, so i went and bought a new alternator and it is still charging the same. i know that my auxillary batteries are dead, so could it be that they are pulling down my alternator because it is trying to charge them up. And if i unhook my auxillary batteries would that do the trick until i repalce them, I took the positive cable off of the main battery and the alternator keep the engine running, but the gauge still show's 9 volts of charging. also is there a swith somewhere that i can flip so that it stops sending a charge to the auxillary batteries.
