1998 S-10 LS-1 engine swap by Tom McTernan
I havea 1998 S-10 pick-up with a 2.2L 4-cylinder and a 5-speed manual trans. I would like to convert it to an LS-1 with a 4L60E transmission. I have a lead on a complete LS-1,4L60E,Computer module and wiring harness from a 2000 Camaro. How difficult would this swap be,and how difficult would it be to get it passed by a smog referee in California? Is there any "How to" reference materials on this conversion?
