Duo-Therm Cool Cat Heat Pump Intermittent by Kalos
Post New Message I have a T@B Trailer with a Dometic/Duotherm Heat Pump.

Lately, there is an unusual situation: When turning on the A.C cycle for the first time — eg when hooking up at a campsite — the compressor seems to start up but not the fan. ie something is turning inside, but the fan doesn't operate and there is no cold air. Often, the fan will start up after an hour or two and the Cool Cat then operates normally. It doesn't matter what the fan switch positions are.

What could the problem be? Low battery voltage? Heat Pump trying to protect itself from differential pressure?
