I feel like a big dumby but I cannot find the fresh water tank or the drain for it. I have a 1986 winnebago elandan 34'. We just purchased the motorhome and I want to drain and clean the water tank.
I have been in, under, around and inside looking for the drain which the operators manuals says it has.
Aloso we have two roof air units on the coach. The rear one blows nice and cold. The front one blows just air not cold. I am told that there might be a switch or a thermostat that turns on the front air. I found the thermostat but dont have a clue how it works. The air units are coleman and the thermostat is Suburban.
If you know where the water fill for the tank is located, the tank will not be far from the filler. They often do a good job of hideing the tank. Our Class C has a rear bedroom and the tank is under the bed. The mattress has to be moved forward and screws removed to raise the wooden tank cover and therefore access the tank as well as the drain valve, all you see under the rig is a plastic tube sticking down. Our previous Class A had twin beds and the water tank was under the left side bed and the drain valve stuck out the side of the motorhome.
Keep searching and I'm sure you will eventually find the elusive tank.
Hi - we just bought a 1985 Elandan. There are 3 ring pull drains on ours. One is beside the tank under the bed. Our bedroom has been modified so it may have been moved but there is a small access door under the bed straight in front of you when entering the bedroom. The other two drains are under the shower. Access door is close to floor level. These drain the hotwater tank. Hope this helps if you have not already found the solutin.
