My RV is currently parked in a permanent spot and hooked to 110v power. When the fridge is powered on the Check light is lit, and I am experiencing intermittent problems with cooling in both the freezer and refrigerator areas. Sometimes it works, then it just cuts off, and doesn’t come back on...for days at a time. I've tried setting it in manual mode (should cool continuously), and this makes no difference. Any suggestions?
You can try hot wiring the element. Disconect from board and conect to extention cord and plug in direct. It should freeze everthing in the fridge compatment including the milk and any beer. If it does this the board needs replacing. You will need the Model # serial # and Product # (if it has one) Good Luck
I had a similar problem with my Dometic RM2611 I changed the motherboard out with a Dinosaur Electronics Micro P-711 which solved my check light problem and the fridge worked nicely. dinosaurelectronics.com/MICRO_P-711.htm
